Maggie Mae Morgan James was born to the late West and Kathleen Morgan, April 16, 1950, in Madison, Florida.
At an early age, she confessed Christ and joined Cascade Missionary Baptist Church. She was a faithful and loyal member as the church secretary.
Maggie Mae attended Madison County, Florida schools where she graduated from Madsion County Training School. She furthered her education at North Florida Jr. College (AA degree), Florida State University ( Bachelor's degree), Florida A & M University ( Master's degree), Language Art and Speccialist Degree. Maggie Mae was employed with Madison County High School for 2 years ( teacher-Madison, FL) and Taylor County Elementary School ) Perry, FL) for 28 years, retiring in 2017.
Maggie Mae fell in love with Elder Leroy James, and they were married for 50 years. To that union one son, Darrell James.
On December 31, 2020, surrounded by family and friends who she loved, Maggie Mae Morgan James relinquished her earthly ties, donned a robe of everlasting life and went home to be with the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her parents, West and Kathleen Morgan, siblings; Kathryn Ratliff, Neatha Morgan and West Morgan Jr., one nephew; Dorsey Williams.
She leaves to cherish her fun, loving, precious memories to her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Elder Leroy James and one son Darryl James of Madison, FL, three grandchildre; Ke'Darrion, Jamaria and Amil James, Aunt; Juanita Wilson of Madison, FL, three sister-in-laws; Eddie Mae Hall of Madison, Mildred Arnold and Gertrude (James) of Adell, Ga. One bother-in-law: J.D. James (Gwendolyn)of Madison, FL, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends.
