Lila Crews Burton passed peacefully at her home on April 1, 2021. Mrs. Burton was born in Live Oak, Florida and attended Orange Heights Baptist Church for over 10 years.
Lila was married for 60 years to Keith Burton, who proceeded her in death. She was also proceeded in death by her brother, Dr. James Crews (Greensboro, NC) and Ruby Crews Clements (Kennesaw, GA).
She leaves behind two sons, Glenn Burton (Lorraine) of Gainesville, Florida, and Doug Burton (Sheila) of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Betty Burton of Indianapolis, IN; Julie Karr of Richmond, VA; Ryan Burton of Gainesville, FL; Lisa Burton of Gainesville, FL; and David Burton (Sarah) of Gainesville, FL. Lila had one great granddaughter, Abigail Grace Burton of Gainesville, FL.
Lila loved Southern Gospel music and sang for many years in a quartet, Grace Life Singers. She also loved bowling and doing fun things with her granddaughter, Lisa. All who knew her, lovingly called her grandma!
