Cecil Mack Sr was born on January 28, 1921 in Hinesville, GA to the late Emma Abraham and Willie Mack. Cecil Sr. is the oldest of 9 siblings. Cecil Sr.attended some school and loved to work so that he would always have a couple of pennies in his pocket. Cecil Sr. was drafted into the Armed Forces in March of 1937. However before he left on his deployment, he married the love of his life Alice Beatrice Sams. This union brought forth 14 children. After 4 years of military service, Cecil Sr. returned home to Georgia to his wife and family. They relocated to Jacksonville, FL and then finally to Gainesville, FL where they settled down and purchased their family home. After the passing of his wife, Cecil Sr. moved to Miami, FL, but later returned back to Gainesville, FL where he resided with his son and daughter-in-law, James and Myrna Mack.
On Friday, April 2, 2021 Cecil Mack Sr. accepted the masters call and entered into eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nettie Nixon and his brothers, Andrew, Thomas, George and Bobby.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his children, Theron (Shirley) of Cleveland, OH, Cecil Jr (Louvenia) of Perrine, FL, Ronald (Kathy) of Columbia, SC, Eddie (Flora) of Hollywood, FL, Anthony of Gainesville, FL, Mary of Gainesville, FL, James (Myrna) of Gainesville, FL, Gerald (Jackie) of Gainesville, FL, Jerry (Linda) of Gainesville, FL, Leonard (Kutanya) of Gainesville, FL, Larry of Bradenton, FL, Thomas of Gainesville, FL and Lillie Elaine of Gainesville, FL; his sisters, Dorothy Day, Louise Reynolds (David) of Mount Laurel, NJ; his brothers, Willie Mack (Grace) of Miami, FL and BernestMack (Margie) of Miami, FL. As well as a host of grands, great grands, great-great grands, cousins and sorrowing friends.
