A Gentleman & His Legacy
On April 19, 1948 a kind spirited gentleman by the name of Timothy Samuel Johnson II was born. On January 14, 2021, this charismatic gentleman departed this earthly life for a greater place. To his children he was Papa Smurf to everyone else he was Mr. Tim. You would always find him surrounded by the young and the old intently listening to the their daily dose of wisdom and education, because class was in session. Once you met him you NEVER forgot him. To know him was to LOVE him. He was Lincoln High School Class of 1967 Alumni. He served in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge. His love for music allowed him to tour with the Isley Brothers, he never wanted the fame or glory just the experience.
His kids and family was precious to him and he was proud of his family. One of those most precious gifts God gave him was his children and he would let everyone know it. He always made you feel welcome, like your family. His laugh and smile was infectious, he always has a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
Mr Johnson’s parents introduced him to Our lord and Savior and he became a member of Greater Bethel AME at very young age. His profound relationship was evident and always present in his conversations. He always reminded you who you are and whose you are.
He leaves to carry on his legacy 13 children Timothy Johnson, Bruce Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Barry Johnson (Bridgette), Ron Johnson, Hans Johnson, Sonya Johnson, Brett Johnson, Heather Johnson, Julian Johnson, Marilyn Johnson, Darrius Johnson, Julianne Williams (Rollon). His brother Anthony Jones and sister Paulette Daniel, 27 grandchildren a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other family and friends.
