Susan J. Tan, a resident of Gainesville, born in Albany N.Y., passed away May 2021 in her home at the age of 60. She was a devoted and beloved mother of one. She was dedicated to assisting and teaching others. She honorably served in the Army, taught English as a teacher in Japan, and as a Christian Minister. She lived on three different continents in her lifetime and loved to travel to new places and the beach. She was preceded by her parents, Norman B. Burleigh and Doris L. Burleigh and a sister Dorothy Burleigh Mastrangelo. She is survived by her daughter, Audrey E. Tan of Gainesville, and daughter’s father Kim L. Tan, three siblings: two sisters Linda, who is married to Dennis Young, of Glen Mills, Pa., and Sandra Radford of Pensacola, Fl., and one brother Stephen Burleigh of Pensacola, Fl., and several nieces and nephews: Cliff, Erin, Josh, Sarah, Nick, and Samantha. Her place of final rest will be at Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery where she will be surrounded by nature and beauty.
