Judith M Barton, 79, passed away on Saturday July 11, 2020. She was born to George and Loretta Meurer, in Brooklyn, New York. After many adventures that shaped her character, she married Bill Barton in 1959, and together they created a loving home, raised 2 sons and had a thriving business.
Judy loved to crochet. Together with her knitting/crocheting group, she made and donated manybaby blankets for McDonald house, lap blankets for veterans and other charities.
Bill and Judy belonged to Holy Faith Catholic Church and volunteered in the areas of crafts and boy scouting.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Georganne.
She leaves behind to mourn her loss, her husband, Bill Barton, their 2 sons, Richard and Cory; grandson Hunter, as well as many good friends and neighbors.
A memorial mass will be held for Judith Barton on July 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Faith Catholic Church, 747 NW 43rd St. Gainesville, FL. Attendees will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
God did not lose Judy when she came to us and we do not lose her as she returns to God. However, she will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
