J’mya “Hummingbird” Woods was born on November 4, 1993 to Cindy Woods and Patrick Young in Ocala, FL. She was the third child of seven: D’juan, Iesha, I’ana, Alivia, Alana and Aaron. She started her life here in Ocala, FL and at the age of five, she relocated to Georgia where she remained until senior high, before relocating back to Ocala.
She attended Banneker High School in Atlanta and Vanguard High School in Ocala. She loved being a mother to her children and taking care of her family. One of her favorite hobbies was singing and writing poetry. She had such a passion for singing that she auditioned for American Idol.
On Thursday, September 10, 2020 she answered the call of our heavenly father and slipped away into eternal rest.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her mother, Cindy Woods-High (Allen) of Ocala, FL, her father, Patrick Young of Ocala, FL, her children, Aaliyah Navarro, Amya Navarro, Santana Navarri and Sabriel Woods, her siblings, D’juan Cobb, Iesha Porter, Iana Woods, Alivia Woods, Alana High and Aaron High, her grandparents, Deloris Roberson (deceased) and Jimmie Woods Sr, her aunts, Sabrina Lockley, her uncles, Willie Thomas, Jimmie Woods and Matthew Nash, cousins, Daricka Walton, Lamonica Coleman, Darrick Coleman and Will Thomas and a host of other cousins, family and sorrowing friends.
