Jack was born in Panama City, FL and moved to Melrose in 1965. He attended Melrose Community School followed by Hawthorne High School, where he was on the football team. Shortly after graduating, he started the business that would become his life's work, Chamblee's Mobile Home Transport. He was married to Melissa Higgins and together they had two sons. He was a long-time supporter of the local PBS stations, Melrose Youth Sports, and endless community fundraisers.
He now rests with his mother, Wanda Rothhammer Chamblee and youngest brother, Paul Melvin Chamblee. Jack is survived by his sons, Daniel (Sara) and Stephen, a grand-daughter Ella Rose, siblings John Chamblee, Loretta Carol Fulton, Glenda (Lee) Quick, and David (Lesa) Chamblee, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
