June 5, 1955 ~ July 6, 2020 (age 65)

Obituary

On June 5, 1955 a woman of manifest greatness was birthed by the name of Hazella Victoria White-Singleton.  On July 6, 2020 this woman of greatness departed this earthly life for a greater place.  Hazella was a remarkable mother of three, Shenise Willliams, Rodney Williams, and Cornelia Mcleod, and a pillar of her community.  She paved the way with her accomplishments, by graduating two years early from grade school to later go on to receive her Masters at the University of Florida where she maintatined the dean’s list while caring for her kids.  She celebrated every holiday down to St. Patrick’s Day.  On Valentine’s Day the house was full of hearts, on St. Patrick’s Day it was full of four leaf clovers, on Halloween it was full of witches and scary music, on Thanksgiving it was filled with orange flowers and turkeys, and on Christmas it was always the best!!!  On November 5, 2011, she married her soulmate of 23 years and became Hazella White-Singleton.  She had a smile like no other on the day she married her best friend.  Hazella worked 23 years for the State and retired from the University of Florida Gastroenterology department as a fellowship coordinator in 2014.  She enjoyed her retirement years with her family and friends and most importantly caring for her late mother Essie May George, along with the help of her siblings.  Hazella left this world with a loving husband, Warren Singleton, 2 daughters, Shenise (Renee’) Williams, Cornelia Mcleod, 1 son, Rodney Williams Sisters: Gloria Yawn & Almetta Faulk;  Brothers: Thomas George, Willie George, & Barry George; Son in law: Laconte Akins 14 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
