Obituary

DEACON JOE NATHION JACOBS, JR., was born on May 6,
1942, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his
parents - Joe Nathion Jacobs, Sr., and Alma Hall Jacobs. He
retired from the City of Gainesville and was a faithful member
of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Loving memories will remain within the hearts of Joe's
loving wife - Winifred Yvonne Jacobs; his children - Michelle
(James) Tillman of Nashville, Tennessee, Leroy Williams of
Sarasota, Florida, Sandra Williams and Thryon Williams of
St. Petersburg, Florida, and Ronald Watson, Jeffery Williams,
Michael Williams, and Timothy Williams of Gainesville,
Florida; brothers - Paul Hollis and Melvin Hollis of Monroe,
Louisiana (two brothers, Louis Jacobs and Charles Hollis,
preceded him in death); sisters
- Cherry Brown of Dallas,
Texas, and Pauline Hollis and Willie Mae Hollis of Monroe,
Louisiana; sister-in-law - Addie Walker of South Carolina;
aunt - Marie Hall of Seattle, Washington; a special nephew -
Earl Jackson of West Virginia; special nieces - Marquis Jones
and Helen Watkins; godchildren - 'Karas (Sequoia) Fields
and Conjwanna "Tina" Robinson of Gainesville, Florida; 13
grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
