Obituary

Colleen Kay McManaman Elmore was born on October 14, 1940, in Olney, Illinois, to Paul V McManaman and Kathleen McManaman, both from Albion Illinois. Colleen graduated from Albion High School and attended (College) where she met and married David Lloyd Elmore. They raised a family in Hillsboro  Ohio where she ownded and operated the Koffe Kup Restaraunt. She was an excellent cook. They were surrounded by cherished friends and loved to have fish fry's and entertain. Those friendships continued for the next 50 years. She and Dave then moved to Orange Park Flordia where she worked in the managment of a couple of restaurants before finding her "calling" at River Garden. There she worked for 20 years bringing smiles to all that met her. She was especially good at doing the nails for the folks in the dementia ward. She loved to crochet and  cross stiching was another one of her many talents. She was an excellent seamstress, making her daughters clothes when she was growing up. 
On April 2, 2022 she was called home. Colleen was preceded in death by her husband, David Elmore, her parents, Paul and Kathleen McManaman and brother Larry McManaman. 
Her memory will live on in the hearts of all her Family. Son, Bradley David Elmore (Melissa) and daugher, Stephanie Ann Jones (Thom). She especially loved all her grandchildren. They were the light of her life. Nathan Bradely Jones, Tyler David Jones, Jordan Elmore Taylor (Chevy), Gabrielle Elmore and Brandon Elmore. Neices and nephews, Erin McManaman-Patrick (John), Kathy McManaman Kurek, Barry McManaman, Brian Mcmanaman, Shawn McManaman. To know her was to love her and she was loved by so many. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the River Garden Hebrew Home.
